Official Opening of the 55th Miramichi Folksong Festival- Beaverbrook Kin Centre,
100 Newcastle Blvd. 0pening address at 7:00 pm by noted author Dr. Wayne Curtis, followed by and evening of great
music, featuring, The Miramichi Fiddlers, Accordion Extraordinare
Roger Lantegine accompanied by noted fiddler, teacher and pianist Stacey Lynn Read and a special welcome back to multiple
award winning singer/songwriter, John Gracie from Nova Scotia. ECMA award winner and JUNO nominee, he
now has 12 CDs to his credit including the Gene MacLellan Tribute, two best selling Christmas CDs, Nova Scotia Lullaby to
name a few. His latest release Live from the Flamingo, a Bennett, Sinatra Salute highlights the jazzier side of John Gracie.
John's first professional out of town performance was in Newcastle many years ago and he has returned to the Miramichi
several times.
Advance tickets are $20.00, $25.00 at the door. On sale at Books Inn, Bill's Kwikway and Newcastle
Farmers Market, Weekly passes are also on sale which covers all show except the breakfast and noon luncheons
